  1. Senior Technician, HVAC

Job Purpose:

HVAC Senior Technician is responsible Carry out and provide work instructions to technicians related to all HVAC Equipment operation, maintenance, repair and overhauling activities on HVAC system Mechanical, Electric and Instrument components and, ensure these activities are in accordance with correct procedures, ADNOC OFFSHORE Maintenance management system and the required standards.

IMP Points:-

Experience – Minimum 12 Years, with offshore experience is a must.

Salary Details:

Salary Range 2500 AED to AED 3500 

Duty Hours – As per offshore requirement duty will be of 12 Hours (1Hour Lunch break).

Key Accountabilities

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Obtain work permits from Area Authority, review work assigned and arrange for the necessary materials, tools and equipment to complete the task in accordance with company standing instructions and procedures.
  • Shall be fully aware and understand all relevant regulations and procedures of E PTW system.
  • To carry out preventive and routine maintenance on a wide variety of HVAC system equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule and to carry out corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC systems in order to ensure proper working for of all HVAC system equipment.
  • To allocate work to technicians, ensure availability of materials and follow up to ensure satisfactory completion.
  • To carry out the major overhauling program for all HVAC equipment including chillers reciprocating compressors, motors, AHU’s, supply and extract fans, etc. as per maintenance schedules complying with manufactures recommendations and standards.
  • To carry out HVAC systems electric, safety and control devices checking, calibration and trouble shooting.
  • To assist HVAC Supervisor to provide technical supports for modifications/rectifications for HVAC system improvement upgrading.
  • Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
  • To ensure proper management of spare parts and consumables and advice Supervisor of spare parts and materials requirements.
  • Follow up obsolete spare parts, check availability or equivalent and retrofit/upgrade/replacement of obsolete spares.
  • To issue comprehensive daily activity reports outlining the cause of the fault, the nature of the work and the materials, labour and time taken to complete the task.
  • Ensure incidents are correctly reported to enables the correction of the situation and helps prevent similar future occurrences.

Job Description:

  • Acting as HVAC Supervisor during the absence of HVAC Supervisor.
  • To ensure adherence to OFFSHORE HSE standards and guidelines all areas of their work and participate on related JSA, tool box and other HSE issues.
  • Initiates the Work Permit by entering the necessary details, receive it and comply with its requirements.
  • In the event of an emergency, ensuring that the work is suspended, the worksite is left in a safe condition, all sources of ignition have been extinguished and all machinery has been switched off.

  • Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.

Training

  • Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for development of UAE Nationals as directed by Line Supervisor.

Tool Box

  • Maintain all tools, Test equipments, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
  • Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management

  • Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
  • Inform the HVAC Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards.
  • Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Housekeeping

  • Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

  • Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
  • Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate authentic HSE observations reports.

Internal

  • HVAC Supervisor & Pooled maintenance Team Leader.
  • UZ Production, Maintenance, Logistics & HSE Supervisors
 
  1. HVAC Supervisor
  • Minimum 8 to 10 Years of experience in maintenance & troubleshooting of all types of
  • HVAC System
  • Troubleshooting, Maintenance & Commissioning of Reciprocating, Screw & Centrifugal Chiller Package & DX System (Split & Package Units) of York/JCI, Carrier, Trane, SKM Make System
  • Familiar with Compressor Overhauling, Components replacement, pressurization, flushing (in case of burn and welding) Oil charging, System evacuation, Gas charging, Checking of Suction Superheat and Discharge Sub cooling,
  • Repairing HVAC Semi-Hermetic Compressors (Reciprocating & Screw Type)
  • He shall also pose knowledge and experience of all Compressor Internal Parts
  • Knowledge in Overhauling of Bitzer, Danfoss, Hanbell, Carrier Make Compressors
  • Knowledge in Electric Motor Rewinding – Coil Winding of 3 Phase AC Induction Motors and DC Armatures
  • Knowledge of Insulation Resistance Test for Motors & Compressors
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting will be an added advantage
  • Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 8 to 10 Years’ Experience in Compressor Overhauling (Screw & Reciprocating Type) & Motor Rewinding
 
  1. Compressor Overhauling Technician
  • Minimum 8 to 10 Years’ Experience in Dismantling/Assembling, Overhauling and Repairing HVAC Semi-Hermetic Compressors (Reciprocating & Screw Type)
  • He shall also pose knowledge and experience of all Compressor Internal Parts
  • Knowledge of Reciprocating, Screw & Centrifugal Chillers of York/JCI, Carrier, Trane, SKM Make System
  • Knowledge in Bitzer, Danfoss, Hanbell, Carrier Make Compressors
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting will be an added advantage
  • Qualification: Diploma/ITI with 8 to 10 Years’ Experience in Compressor Overhauling
  • (Screw & Reciprocating Type)
 
  1. Motor Rewinding Technician
  • Professional electric motor winder with a minimum of 5-8 Years Coil Winding of 3 Phase AC Induction Motors and DC Armatures (both round and rectangular form type wires are assets).
  • Individuals will perform rewinds, repairs, assembly, and testing to all types of industrial AC and DC equipment including but not limited to; stators, rotors, armatures, fields and interpoles.
  • Collect, Read and Understand Winding Data and Connections.
  • Familiarity and experience with winding electrical wiring diagrams, insulation materials, brazing techniques and coil forming.
  • Experience with all the other types of AC and DC winding and troubleshooting capabilities are strong assets
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core-loss testers, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, back ovens, grinders and various hand-held power and non-power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles motors using a combination of hand, electric and pneumatic tools.
  • Must have a working knowledge of tape measures, gauges, micrometers and torque wrenches.

  • Ability to work independently, holding close tolerances, minimizing scrap all within standard routing hours and with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to perform setup and operation of mechanical and tooling equipment with limited supervision.
  • Able to follow instructions and repeat basic procedures of the Motor Assembly position.
  • Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Moderate blue-print reading skills.

Medium Level of physical demand:

  • Occasional lifting 21-50 lbs, Frequent lifting 11-25 lbs, and constant lifting 1-10 lbs.

Education / Qualification:

  • Diploma/ITI Electrical – 8 to 10 Years’ Experience
  • Two- years’ experience in large motor repair.
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts.
  • Successful testing will be required
