Working schedule : 8 hours/changing shifts

Education or Qualification : Relevant electro mechanical qualification

Experience : Must have at least 4 years’ experience as an HVAC Technician and/or equivalent combination of education in HVAC, Mechanical and Electrical field.

Position Summary for HVAC technician jobs in Europe : 

The HVAC Technician, under direction of the Assistant maintenance manager and the Director of Engineering, will take responsibility to ensure that all the HVAC equipment and infrastructure within the Hotel is operated at maximum efficiency and effectiveness. A flexible and willing approach to work, including working outside office hours as the needs may dictate, to ensure that the operations and services to guests are not impacted at any time is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Recommending and drafting operating procedures for operation of HVAC plant and equipment as well as preventive maintenance procedures;
  • Knowledge to carry out maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC systems and equipment such as: Air Handling units, Ventilation and heat recovery units, Fan coil units, VRV’s (variable refrigerant volume), Split and Multi split air conditioning units, Boilers, chillers (air and water cooled), cooling towers, dry coolers, circulating pumps, distribution pipe work, etc.
  • Record-keeping and following of preventive maintenance yearly planners.
  • Knowledge on BMS (Building Management systems) at operation level.
  • Performing routine inspections on HVAC engineering systems.
  • May be required to repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • To execute any other duties relevant to the position and work environment as instructed by his superiors.

  • To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as stipulated by the Health and Safety Act and as applicable to your place of work
  • To attend statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules regulations (European Union) related to the control of substances hazardous to health.

Sufficient physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; use of hands to make repairs and adjustments and to use a variety of equipment; reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing; standing for prolonged periods of time
