Working schedule : 12 hours/changing shifts
Education or qualifications : Relevant electro mechanical qualification. Electrical licence
Experience : Minimum of 3 years’ experience from mechanical and electrical engineering field
Duties & Responsibilities for Shift Engineer Jobs in Europe :
- Serving as a lead to staff, assigning and monitoring work, and providing direction;
- Recommending, drafting and adhere to operating procedures for operation of plant and equipment as well as preventive maintenance;
- Knowledge transfer to the working team.
- To maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical systems and associated equipment such as: Water pumps, and distribution pipework, firefighting and detection systems, sewage plants, Reverse Osmosis. systems, hot water systems boilers, Steam boilers, motor control centres and electrical switch gears, swimming pools equipment, elevators, Public Address systems, lighting controls and other building services systems.
- Record-keeping and following of preventive maintenance yearly planners.
- Attend to the report faults and assign personnel if needed to execute works where necessary.
- To carry the engineering mobile phone when on day duty and night duty to attend and rectify any guest complaints reported by MOD or other departments.
- Needs to be flexible to cover duties of other shift engineers when they are on sick or vacation leave.
- Knowledge and operate of BMS (Building Management systems) including scheduling of equipment to ensure that all the plant is not operating unnecessarily and operating without losses.
- To address all the faults reported on Triton system and by other means of reporting.
- Performing inspections and works on various building services systems.
- To report to his superiors any damages caused during the cause of work and inspections and repair when possible.
- To ensure that all personnel wear the assigned uniforms and personal protective equipment;
- To execute any other duties relevant to the position and work environment as instructed by his direct superior.
- To accompany, monitor, inspect contractor’s works if and when required.
- To follow up reported faults from hand over report by his colleagues and compiling of daily hand over reports.
- Ensuring that the all required spare parts are in stock to ensure business continuity at all times.
- Maintains manual or automated records of all activities and prepares daily / weekly / monthly reports.
