HVAC Technician

Minimum Duties & Responsibilities for HVAC Technician Job in Malta :

• Unload, carry, and transport tools and equipment from location of storage to the location of use and back
• Clean items such as filters & strainers
• Clean equipment such as boilers, chimneys and condensers
• Erect scaffolding, ladders, hoists and chain blocks
• Carry out upkeep of equipment involving rust removal and painting
• Ensure a high quality/standard of work and service throughout
• Ensure that personal protective equipment is worn and work is carried out safely
• Keep personal tools and safety equipment in good condition
• Keep company vehicle in good condition
• Make every effort to further his technical studies and skills
• Commission and diagnose HVAC systems
• Commission and diagnose electrical single and three phase systems and control systems
• Dismantling and reassembly of equipment such as tools,compressors, pumps, fans,burners, etc.
• Upkeep equipment and plant areas on sites with preventive maintenance contract
• Address, terminate ,interlock components within a VRF system and commission such system including G-50 using Maintenance Tool
• Draw up and present a complete commissioning report 
• Provide feedback to supervisors and engineers as required and in the form of reports
• Motivate and lead trade assistants and junior technicians to carry out jobs to the highest quality and the shortest possible time
• Develop subordinates by passing on skills and technical knowledge
• Organise and plan tools and material prior to commencement of a particular task

• To assist the  supervisors or engineer in carrying out all of the above duties as well as the following duties :
  • Fault finding and commissioning on control and BMS systems
  • Fault finding and commissioning of VRF systems
  • Fault finding and commissioning of steam systems and boilers
  • Work planning
  • Quality control
  • Maintenance of good client relationship
  • Maintenance of high safety standards
  • Maintenance of discipline
  • Maintenance of deadlines
• To perform any other duties which may be assigned to him from time to time
• To fill up weekly timesheets
• To fill up preventive maintenance site work orders as necessary
• Fill up job sheets completely and correctly
• Perform On-Call duties

Salary for HVAC Technician Job in Malta

• Salary Euro 825 per month (for 40 hrs per week)
• Expected OT Euro 300 (8 hours per week)
• Total gross salary per month- Euro 1125 per month (with overtime)
