Resposibilities :
To keep the kitchen, dining room and related in a clean and safe condition at all times
Duties for Kitchen Assistant Job in Malta :
- To ensure that all kitchen equipment and kitchen areas are cleaned according to the daily and weekly cleaning schedules
- To keep wash up area is being kept clean and tidy
- To organize kitchen stores, keep them clean and in order
- To clean fridge’s and freezers
- To clean the dining room and set up tables as required
- To assist in the dining room service during lunch and dinner times as directed by the Chef if and when required
- To report any faults found in the kitchen and dining room as per home procedures
- To serve food appropriately and according to the right standards of hygiene and food safety
- To report any faults found in the kitchen and dining room
- To participate in appropriate training programmes/courses, where available, which will further improve existing knowledge
- To ensure that a valid food handling licence is hand
- To pass any complaints regarding food to the Chef
- To ensure that all residents are given the highest possible services vis-a-vis the kitchen services
- To adhere to all standards of safe food handling and food hygiene
- To adhere to health and safety regulations
- To wear the kitchen assistant uniform as per company policy
- To help out in the daily cleaning routine with the other kitchen assistants
- To undertake any other duties as required, in order, to keep the Home running smoothly, as delegated by the Chef or the Facility Manager
- To participate in energy-saving initiatives as instructed by the company
